Privacy Policy

Who this applies to
EventPlannery ("we," "our," "us") is a customer relationship management platform for event and wedding planners. This policy covers two kinds of people: planners who create an account to run their business on EventPlannery, and clients (e.g. couples planning a wedding) who a planner invites to a branded inquiry form or client portal. It does not require its own account or password for clients — access is via a private link a planner shares.
Information we collect
From planners (account holders):
- Account information: name, business name, email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, never stored in plain text)
- Billing information: subscription tier and payment status, processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers
- Content you create or upload: client records, proposals, contracts, invoices, budgets, vendor and venue details, calendar events, notes, and files
- If you connect Google Drive: read-only access to files you explicitly select to import, plus your Google account email — used solely to pull that file's content into your CRM
- If you connect a Facebook or Instagram account: basic follower and post-engagement metrics for accounts you connect, used only to display those metrics back to you
From clients (via an inquiry form or client portal):
- Contact and event details submitted through a planner's inquiry form (name, email, phone, event date, budget range, venue, etc.)
- Guest list information a client enters into their portal (guest names, RSVP status, dietary restrictions, meal choices, seating assignments)
- Any documents, messages, or files exchanged with their planner through the portal
How we use this information
- To provide the core service: storing and displaying your client, event, and business data back to you
- To send transactional email (booking confirmations, payment reminders, document notifications) via our email provider, Resend
- To process subscription billing via Stripe
- To power optional AI features (e.g. auto-filling a client record from an uploaded contract, drafting a proposal) — this sends the relevant document text or client details to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This is only triggered when a planner explicitly uses an AI feature
- To maintain security logs (an audit trail of who changed what, visible only to the planner who owns that data)
Third-party services we use
We rely on the following processors to run EventPlannery. Each only receives the data necessary to perform its function:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Anthropic (Claude API) — optional AI document analysis and drafting, only when a planner uses those features
- Google — optional, read-only Drive file import, only if a planner connects their Google account
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — optional social media metrics, only if a planner connects an account
We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not use client or guest data for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account and client data for as long as a planner's account is active. A planner can delete individual client records, guests, documents, or files at any time from within their dashboard. To request deletion of an entire account or data we hold about you as a client of one of our planners, contact us at the email below and we'll process the request within a reasonable time, subject to any records we're legally required to retain (e.g. billing history).
Your choices
- Planners can disconnect Google Drive or social media accounts at any time from Settings, which revokes our access
- Clients can ask their planner to correct or remove information submitted through a portal or inquiry form
- Planners can export or delete their data on request
Security
Data is stored with row-level access controls so one planner's records are never visible to another. Passwords are managed by our authentication provider and never stored by us in plain text. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers directly.
Children's privacy
EventPlannery is a business tool intended for use by adults planning events. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
